Vanessa joined Mazzone Hospitality in March of 2014. She knew early working in the Restaurant and Hotel Industry that Special Events were her passion. In college, her dream was to be a wedding planner, but after working several years in sales, she crossed over to the corporate side of Event Planning.
Being a part of the Sales Team in a State and Government Facility has been very exciting. Not one day is ever the same. During Legislative Season (January -June), Vanessa spends the winter selling Association Lobby Day business, Legislative Fundraisers and Conferences.
In the Spring, when the sun comes out, and the State budget has passed, Vanessa has a little more time to spend with her husband Patrick, her close friends and family, and of course her two “fur babies” Franklin and Paprika. She loves to travel, read a book with a cup of coffee, and is always up for a fancy dinner.
After graduating from Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Restaurant and Food Service Management, Vanessa worked for 10 years at the University at Albany in the Catering Department and was eventually promoted to Director of Catering with Compass Group. Her most recent job was for Interstate Hotels as a Sales and Rooms Manager until she found her home with Mazzone Hospitality.
